wedding

salam my baby aiya,

Im in sandakan writing to you from the waterfront in town. It's still early and still relatively cool. Im here for some work and i managed to attend a colleague's wedding. It was full with ahppiness, i saw despite the odds. It made me think of my wedding with mom..

Her wedding was between to old shoplots. The surrounding was dirty and it was a very poor area. She actually lives in one of the units on top of these old shoplots. There was only one tent, a band, a very nice stage and a short buffet table. Menu was simple but nice. There's only like 5 tables and many used buntings/ banners were covering the trash areas.

Very far from my wedding and mom. It was at the most expensive hotel in downtown kk. The surrounding was a resort and nice beach. It was a huge all with a high ceiling. There were 50-60 tables and the guests were served. Raihan, the top nasyid performer and an orchestra was the band. At home, it was grand too, my home and mama's home.. It was marvelous and lavish. Alhamdulilah for all the blessings.

But deep in my heart, all that and everything else asurrounding the wedding dont matter anymore. Guests, gifts, music.. I was so engrossed with the one beside me, mama.. It was the happiest time of mylife. Hence, if our wedding was beside a smelly flat, with just simple food, and even just 100 guests, it would still be the best day of my life. Because of mom and later come you.. :-)

Remember my baby, the elders are right when they say, money cant buy happiness.

Abah is here, always.
